Decade in Sports: Amazing Athletics

Mason McKenna

The past decade yielded some of the best sports events in history. Perhaps the most obvious would be the five Olympic Games where Americans like Michael Phelps and Simone Biles dazzled the entire world. Tiger Woods won the 2019 Masters tournament in what some have called “the greatest sports comeback of all time”. Team sports provided extensive entertainment as well. Kansas City experienced a decade of success including winning the 2013 MLS Cup and 2015 MLB World Series. In addition to the professionals in Kansas City, Olathe East student-athletes tacked on 24 state titles between 2010 and 2019. Way to go OE!
