Varsity soccer faced off against Park Hill South. Hawks beat Panthers 3-0 with goals scored by sophomore David West, junior Cameron Ayoade, and senior Caden Pfeil. “I was pretty excited because it was my first goal of sophomore season,” West said.

The JV boys soccer team faced Lawrence Free State on Tuesday, Sept. 26th. The Hawks ended up losing 0-2 but they played hard. Sophomore, Cameron Lebar, says, “I played my cousin that game so it was fun.”

While playing at CBAC, Olathe East senior running back Daylan Mburu breaks his way through the defense team from Lawrence High to score the first touchdown for Olathe East high school of the night. “When I was first running on the field I was nervous, And after that my nerves just went away and I started doing my thing.” Mburu said. The Hawks defeated the Lions 24-6

Homecoming Football Game
On October 2nd, Olathe East Hawks faced off against Shawnee Mission West. Olathe East won with 22 points and the Vikings having 17 points.

The Hawks JV Volleyball team narrowly beat out Shawnee Mission East 26-24 with a great comeback scoring 8 consecutive points. “You do better when you have energy and fun. If you don’t have either of those then you just give up and in my opinion winning is better than losing,” said Charlee Milligan.

“It was cool to see other bands from around the area perform and to get feedback on our area.” Mia Nhan, sophomore in marching band says. Olathe East High school performed at and co-hosted the Olathe Marching. The band played the songs Black Magic Woman, Witches Sabbath, Moonlight, and Unstoppable.
